21st International Fiber art’s Competition Castle of Sala Baganza- Parma - North Italy 7-15 September 2024 Subject: “Climate: Time out” 1--Contest takes place near Parma Town - North Italy no age limit to participate. Weavers and Fiber artists (Patchwork/Felt/ Nunofelt/ Embroidery , Ecoprinting a.s.o.) must feel free to develop subject following their point of view. ( dresses, tapestries, objects) 2-The work must be handmade min. cm 40x40 max cm. 100x100. Max weight 5 kgs For particular artistic installation and performances contact Arcadia in time. 3- Dates competition 2024: - within 15th May work’s project and description to be sent to aarcadia@libero.it - within 30 May Arcadia will tell admitted artists (everyone will anyway receive an answer) - within 15 June admitted artists have to pay subscription fee - within 6th August, for paper catalogue, artists have to send nr 2 good photos jpg 300 dpi on black, white or neutral background as well as work title, technique, material used, dimensions and short curriculum ( pls send photos not with lot of space around it) - within 25 August all works must reach Arcadia. we suggest to send works as “no charge” (particularly from abroad, works indicated with a value, may remain many days stopped at custom offices with expenses required) Send works to: Associazione Arcadia -Via Canali 11- 43038 Sala Baganza – PR- Italy Works must have a hanging system. If above rules are not respected there can be a penalty of exclusion. 4- Other events will be organised during above period 5- Jury composed by Art experts from University, Art Professors will award first, second and third Prize. Jury will follow relation between composition and technique, and personal creative ideas. Opinion of jury is final and unquestionable. 6- Prizes : 1st € 450,00 2nd € 300,00 3rd € 200,00 Prize given from Public during the show € 150,00 Design Prize € 150,00 Other Prizes from sponsors 7-On organisers charge: Showroom- control service during the exposition- works` unpacking and packing for return within 60 days after the contest- New photos of not perfect JPG- Publishing of exposer`s catalogue – Realization, printing and distribution of posters and invitations- All the press releases. Organisation of Artists’ dinner the 10 th September for inauguration. The choose of works’ position in the show spaces is unquestionable. 8- On Artist`s charge: payment of participating fee-Work shipment and costs of Return (if not winning any prizes) by ensured post on destination charge in Italy. For other countries, before sending back, we shall first receive expenses quote needed for shipment. 9-- Winning Works remain to organisers, all the other will be sent back as above art.8 10-Arcadia has the right to publish photos and to take the winner`s works in other towns and countries. 11- Organizers will be at the show all the time and there is night security in the castle.
