Arcadia Association is working since 1990 for the study, the research and the teaching of handicraft arts like fresco painting, weaving, bas-relief,felt, mosaic, embrodery, hand made paper, engraving and press, natural dyeing a.s.o. Creativity for therapy! All these years we have been working with Schools and Teachers in more then 30 different situations Arcadia : - has been managing workshops in the Parma`s Cathedral yard during the IX Centenary - has been managing for five years all affresco workshops in Fontanellato Castle -has been managing workshops during the Correggio painter show - By Ettore Guatelli anthropological Museum we offer workshops concerning second life of materials as well as around air-light-water and clay -Our Section Active Tourism works in many Castles of Parma`s province with Tourists of any age and everybody is involved in manual workshops We dispose of 20 weaving looms, ceramic kiln, printing presses and system for paper ricycling as well as equipments and materials for many other techniques Arcadia disposes of "Itinerant shows" like: - Libriamoci 120 Hand made Books using all different materials, written and illustrated with techniques like embroidery, fresco painting, felting ,mosaic, pirografie a.s.o. - Which Story is this ? Ten unpublished Stories without words from an artist already prize winning drawings can also be interesting subjects for a Creative Writing Concours starting from images! - Afghanistan 1978 Photos from an overland travel till Afghanistan, before russian invasion, before all the wars: a world not existing any more. - Trame a Corte" 180 hanging modern arras realised in weawing or fiber art technique, winners of previous editions of International Fiber Art Concour which is at 14th edition in 2017( artists from all over the world) - Wool Art 180 artistic works from 180 artists all made in wool from Corniglise Sheep - Magic Papier machè Papier machè works (dimensions cm.120x120) and some smaller - G.I.L.D.A.
